These are the plain-English basics of using Kithle, both the website (kithle.com) and the app (app.kithle.com). By creating an account or using Kithle, you agree to them. We'll keep them honest and short, and we'll update them as the product grows.

Kithle is in early access

Kithle is still being built and is changing quickly. Things will shift, improve, and sometimes break. By using it early you're helping shape it, and you're seeing it before it's finished.

Your account

You sign in with Google or an email link, and you're responsible for keeping access to that email secure. An account is for one family's use. By adding a child's information you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian, or otherwise have authority to keep records for them. You're responsible for the information you enter.

Acceptable use

Use Kithle for keeping your own family's homeschool records. Don't try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service, and don't upload other people's personal information without the authority to do so.

Your content is yours

The records, scores, and work you keep in Kithle belong to you. We store them to provide the service and show your progress, and you can export or delete them at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how that information is handled.

No guarantees on features or timing

We can't promise any specific feature, subject, or launch date. Math leads today; spelling, writing, and unit studies are filling in. We'd rather under-promise and tell you plainly what's ready than commit to things that may change.

Billing

Kithle is free during early access. If you choose a paid plan once billing is available, the price and billing period shown at checkout apply, payments are processed by Stripe, and you can cancel to stop future charges. We'll set out the specifics at the point you subscribe.

Our content is informational

Everything on the website, including the funding directory, state guides, and blog, is for general information only. It is not legal, tax, or financial advice. Laws and programs differ by state and change over time, so always verify the details with your state or a qualified professional before you rely on them.

You own your homeschool

You're responsible for meeting your own state's homeschool requirements. Kithle gives you tools and evaluator-ready records to help you stay organized and ready, but the responsibility to know and meet your state's rules stays with you. Verify with your state.

State checklists in the app

For some states, Kithle shows a checklist of records that state commonly asks homeschool families to keep, alongside what you've recorded in Kithle. These checklists summarize published, general information. They are not legal advice, they are not a compliance verdict, and they may lag behind changes in your state's rules. Each one carries a "last reviewed" date. Treat them as a helpful summary, and verify current requirements with your state before you rely on them. If something looks outdated, tell us and we'll review it.

Limits on liability

Kithle is provided as-is during early access. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Kithle, including losses that follow from relying on informational content such as state checklists, guides, or the funding directory. Missed filings, deadlines, or program requirements remain your responsibility. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Ending your use

You can stop using Kithle and delete your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service or puts others at risk. If we ever wind the service down, we'll give you a way to export your records first.
